Animal Protection
Animal Protection
Stronger Laws, Real Consequences
Animal cruelty should be treated for what it is — a crime against a living being.
Pesach will:
Fight to strengthen penalties for animal cruelty and abuse
Support laws that recognize animals as living beings, not just property
Close gaps that allow repeat offenders to avoid serious consequences
If someone abuses an animal, it should be treated as a serious offense — not brushed aside.
Better Enforcement & Coordination
Laws only matter if they’re enforced.
Pesach will:
Support stronger coordination between law enforcement and animal protection organizations
Ensure cases are properly investigated and prosecuted
Push for better reporting and tracking of animal cruelty cases
Too many cases fall through the cracks — that needs to change.
Protecting Animals and Communities
Animal abuse doesn’t happen in isolation.
Studies have shown a link between animal cruelty and other forms of violence. Taking these crimes seriously helps protect not just animals, but communities as a whole.
