Animal Protection

Stronger Laws, Real Consequences

Animal cruelty should be treated for what it is — a crime against a living being.

Pesach will:

  • Fight to strengthen penalties for animal cruelty and abuse

  • Support laws that recognize animals as living beings, not just property

  • Close gaps that allow repeat offenders to avoid serious consequences

If someone abuses an animal, it should be treated as a serious offense — not brushed aside.

Better Enforcement & Coordination

Laws only matter if they’re enforced.

Pesach will:

  • Support stronger coordination between law enforcement and animal protection organizations

  • Ensure cases are properly investigated and prosecuted

  • Push for better reporting and tracking of animal cruelty cases

Too many cases fall through the cracks — that needs to change.

Protecting Animals and Communities

Animal abuse doesn’t happen in isolation.

Studies have shown a link between animal cruelty and other forms of violence. Taking these crimes seriously helps protect not just animals, but communities as a whole.
